Tauranga, New Zealand March 15, 2025
It was a beautiful day. Larry and I had decided we would hike to the top of Mount Maunganui today. Jay and Kim left earlier in the morning. We passed them coming down on our way up.
Boys were jumping off the dock swimming. It was fun to see that they were having so much fun.
The views were very impressive
The hike up the mountain was slow and steady. We searched for shaded spots to take breaks.
We enjoyed a few resting stops on the way up.
The views on the top were spectacular.
The water colors never cease to amaze me in NZ
The city looked huge from the top of the mountain. What a great spot! With beaches on the Bay side as well as the ocean side.
We returned down the same trail,
spotting some sights on the way back.
The Westerdam was a welcome sight after that hike!
After our Tauranga sail away, Larry and I knew that the next two weeks would be a totally new adventure, visiting Kiwi friends and sporting motorcycles on both the North and South Islands. We could hardly sleep from the excitement that awaited us .
