Hokatika to Christ Church, NZ. March 27, 2025
Off we go into the wild blue yonder!
New Zealand is known for low cloud formations. We sure experienced them this morning.
So cool riding between the gap of the mountains with the clouds hanging low.
Love the view of our twisty curvy ride.
One lane bridges ahead
Another dried up river bed.
Arthur's Pass
I love how the road meanders through the hillside.
I was really hoping to spot a Kea up here in Author's Pass.
Otira Viaduct
I was thrilled when we started spotting Keas. They turned their backs on us and vamboosed when I tried to get close.
Larry's bike with the squiggly road in the background that we are about to ride.
Back on the road heading towards Christchurch.
Fall foliage is really starting to show itself
Stoplight for a one lane bridge
Time for a stretch!
Colorful mushrooms
Flowers love the moderate temps in New Zealand.
Lunch break.....savory NZ Pies
After all the clouds we have seen, it is funny to spot this one little lonesome cloud above the mountain.
More NZ colorful water
The cloud formations are awe inspiring
Break Time
Lots of Cool NZ one lane bridges
Another river bed with only a small stream
We arrived in Christchurch at the Airport Gateway Motor Lodge.
What a ride!
One more day of riding, tomorrow, to a little French town, Akaroa.
WE CAN'T WAIT!
