Canary Islands

Santa Cruz, Tenerife, Canary Islands    March 28, 2023

After six days at sea, crossing the Atlantic Ocean, the Costa Pacifica arrived in Tenerife just before sunrise.

We found a coffee shop. We also quickly found a  scooter rental shop and walked to it.

We headed south...to get out of the city.

How fortunate we were to have a bright sunny day for our scooter adventure.

We followed the sea scape and turned west toward the mountains.

The scenery was exquisite.

The ride was quite THRILLING...lots of curves and twists and hairpin turns.

This rock looked like it could come tumbling down any moment.

We passed many bikers heading up the mountain.

Magnificent scenery!

We spotted another island nearby, the Grand Canaria.

It was so cool to look back and see the curvy roads we had just scootered over.

We passed through and over the Anaga Mountain and looked down on the small village of San Andres.

MY OH MY! It was magnifico........

The terraced mountain, made planting and harvesting much easier.

We both felt on top of the world after that awesome ride!

We parked the scooters and strolled out to this huge rock.

My man brought me to this "cool" spot!

Watch out...when the waves come in they splash all over the walkway.

We had a great time...as always!

Sea grapes

The ride back to Santa Cruz was as scenic as the trip over to St. Andres.

We had a lovely picnic lunch in Garcia Sanabris Park.

We headed out of the city to find Oroyava, the oldest town in Tenerife. our little scooter could not keep up with the traffic so we headed back to town passing...

the Tenerife Adan Martin Auditorium....sort of reminded us of the Sydney Opera House.

We found our way back to the cruise terminal  just in time..... 

to enjoy a cold beverage with some wi-fi.

After that fantastic day riding that scooter behind my man, I won't mention what I thought about....
