Halifax, Canada

Halifax, Canada                     Thursday, September 13, 2018

The last time we docked in Halifax, we were in this lovely section of the city that had a gorgeous wrap around walking path along the waterfront. This time there were two other ships docked and we had to take a bus through the port to get to pier 21....just not as convenient as before. Anyway, we had a car reserved to drive out to Peggy's Cove. Low and behold, the car rent place was about 10 miles on the other side of Halifax. We met this really nice gentleman that just put us in his car and took us there. How welcoming is that!

Our destination today, Peggy's Cove.

Peggy's Cove was about an hour outside of Halifax and well worth the drive. The coastal scenery there was GORGEOUS!
There were some neat looking Cape Cod style homes.

                                                    Love those lobster pots !

The day was down right awesome...gorgeous sunshine, incredible surf and crystal clear water.

The surf was coming in and crashing every which way! The light house was spectacular.

After climbing across the rocks, we found the simpler way to the lighthouse...a paved path.

                                                                    What a boulder!
The houses and boats reminded us of New England.
                                                  Definitely a lobster/fishing community!

Lots of arts and craft shops too!
We spotted an inland lighthouse on the road going back into Halifax.
Peggy's Cove was a down right beautiful area...one of my favorites on the trip!
