Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sunday, May 12, 2019
The Westerdam pulled into Canada Place, the Vancouver Port bright and early. Larry and I took the ship transportation (half an hour drive) to the airport to catch our 12:15 pm flight to San Francisco.
We picked up our rental car and were off for one of our favorite drives in the world, Route 1 in California.
After spending the night in Carmel we got a bright and early start driving through the scenic town of Monterey.
California has kind of a early morning gray foggy haze that burns off as noon approaches.
The homes in Monterey are magnificent. What views of the ocean they have!
This time of year the purple moss is magnificent!
Bird Island also had barking seals.
These critters were very tame.
This beach succulent was in full bloom all over the place.
What an unusual house?!
The morning fog finally began to burn off leaving some fabulous blue water views.
Pebble Beach Golf Club is celebrating it's 100th year in the next few weeks.
Who wouldn't want to live here with this view?
This brought back a good memory!

We were happy to see their pets, Paris and Mimi.
Their new addition....Piper.
We enjoyed some delicious baby backs and shared a good many riding stories before hitting the sack. Tomorrow brings a trip to Baja, Mexico....we can hardly wait.
