Carlsbad Caverns February 20, 2021
There was a spectacular drive up to the caverns.
Visitor Center
Unique housing for the rangers.
Observation area for the evening Bat Show! Unfortunately this occurs during the late spring and summertime....guess we'll have to come back to see the bats flying out of the cave then.

There was quite a winding incline into the cave.
We have been in a lot of caves all over the world....this is the best one we have ever been in.
Cloudcraft, New Mexico
This area was very cool. We climbed out of the New Mexico desert into a mountainous region with a fresh snow fall that was stunning. It isn't hard to imagine why this area has prospered. It would be a fantastic escape from the the summer heat.
We want to come back here to ski.

What a unique hike!
We spotted the winds picking the sand up and headed back to the car.
We enjoyed watching some kids sliding down the sand hills.
What an interesting area!
