We had a bit of a snafu when our ship did not come into port on Monday, February 10. The NCL cruise ship company contacted us through email just before leaving Tellero to tell us that the one hundred million dollar renovations had not been completed due to the French workers strike. Oh my stars....this was really the first time in all our travels that our itinerary was changed. We didn’t get too flustered by this little hick-up. We just decided to enjoy three more days in Italy.
Anyway we boarded bright and early....11:00am, went directly to our room to drop off our carry ons and headed to the back deck for lunch.
After the 3:00pm ship drill, the Spirit pulled anchor at 4:00, heading for a two day sailing to Haifa, Israel.
What beautiful sunset to end our first day!
