Kobe, Japan
with mountains in the background. Japanese cities tend to build right up to the edge of the mountain
This beautiful Geisha scene was painted on the wall of the metro station.
We
caught the town shuttle bus to downtown Kobe and explored the 10 story shopping mall.
It was tremendous! Food market in the basement, clothing, jewelry, makeup,
shoes….you name it, they had it… everything except good high speed wifi! HA!
Everything was so clean and orderly in Kobe….a very modern city. We found a
Star Bucks and then....
moseyed through Chinatown. It seems strange to visit a Chinatown in Japan, but we have found a Chinatown in all of the big Japanese cities.
Larry had a good sampling of the
world famous Kobe beef.
Is that the face of a happy man? I think he is in heaven with the Kobe Beef.
Cold
temps and spitting rain made the day a quick ending one.
The ferris wheel was remarkable in that it changed colors and scenes....it had swimming dolphins and sail boats projected across its structure. It was pretty awesome to sit back and watch.
We are hoping that the
skies are clear to spot Mt Fuji tomorrow.
