Quebec City, Quebec, Canada Tuesday and Wednesday, September 18 & 19, 2018
The ship docked in the port early on Tuesday morning. There was a WICKED WIND and pelts of rain off and on all day.
Fifteen or so years ago Larry and I brought the family here to ski at Mount St.Anne. It was so blasted cold that the cars had to be hooked up to a battery warmer to start and the ski area closed due to the below 0 temperatures. Did we get to explore Quebec City during that visit? NO! It was dangerously cold to be outside. But, we did have lots of fun with our friends sitting around playing cards.
City Center
So from the ship we took a bus to the city center. From there we caught the Hop On Bus and luckily got a seat on the bottom....not upstairs in the open cold air. Yeah!
Old refurbished colonial style buildings
Signs of the need for protection
Stately architecture
Many buildings had copper on their roofs.
Gray stone church
Nice gardens, but a bit slight compared to Victoria in British Columbia.
Love passing through the wall's of mid-evil architecture
We had a good two hour tour of the city, but didn't venture off the bus because of the cold temps and rain. The evening of our last day I enjoyed the serenity of our comfy room....dreaming about the next surprise that Larry will have up his sleeve. He sure pulled my 46th birthday treat off royally...or was that 64th?
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, darling!

Very European looking buildings
Signs of the need for protection
Stately architecture
Many buildings had copper on their roofs.
Gray stone church
Unusually modern waterfountain
An artsy neighborhood had these unusual street lights....reminding me of the 60s lampshades.
Patriotic French colors in a tourist section of shops and eateries.
Quebec City is known for being the oldest walled city in North America.
Nice gardens, but a bit slight compared to Victoria in British Columbia.
